Default "SLIP" indicator? Audio/Video mods??

I have noticed the "SLIP" indicator light come on twice now in the last 3 days after installing a 400 watt Amp., CD/DVD Receiver, Monitor, and Sub.? I can only suspect that the Audio/Video mods. caused this to happen since I have never seen this before. I read that this indicator will come on if the battery cables are not connecting well or if the computer in the car is bad. I wouldn't think either of these are the problem. I am using the factory battery in my car. I'm concerned because tonight the light came on for several seconds and my car wouldn't accelerate while it was on. So far this indicator light has only come on when the traction control was on. I would take it to Nissan since the car is still "technically under warranty" but I have several mods including a Supercharger with an electronic FMU and now a Audio/Video upgrade that I'm sure will cause a problem. Any feedback?
THANKS!

any after market wheel? rear tire being smaller that front? It has nothing to do with your audio system.

heheh..as i expect. the rear profile smaller than front. That is why you get SLIP sometime. I had the same tire set up as you and i do get SLIP sometime.

Ok, so I shouldn't worry about it? I just thought it was odd that the indicator came on for the first time ever immediately after the Audio/Video mods. Thanks for the help.

Another question if you have the same wheel/tires size. Do you ever hear a popping noise when you make a sharp turn or stop suddenly?

No suspension modifications done. I've had the car on a lift and nothing looks out of the ordinary. It sounds like the tires hitting the plastic wheel well liner.

Thanks!

The front tires are taller than the rear. That's why you get SLIP. Could this cause serious problems? Yes. TCS is sensitive to tire size. SLIP will not let you accelerate. From personal experience, TCS may shut down the car completely, and you have to pull to the side of the road. Restart the car. So you have 2 choices:

1. Always drive with TCS OFF.
2. Find the correct size tires to make TCS happy.

Best of luck.

"SLIP" only happen when you have a HARD accelerate or hard cornering. If you don't push hard, the SLIP will not blink. Just turn off TCS.

I have an odd tire set-up also and just turn of TCS unless it's raining. I figure if it's wet out I won't be accelerating hard or taking corners quick anyway.

my slip kicks in all the time, always in the same spots when i'm driving around. it's one of the most annoying things about the car but sometimes i dont want to turn it off for saftey reasons. I hate when im getting onto the freeway, drive over a little pothole on the on-ramp and it kicks in as im trying to accelerate to match speed with the freeway, then all the cars behind me are all pissed off cuz im going like 40 and then the slip goes away and i am all of a sudden going like 80.

i alway turn TCS off as i enter the freeway then turn it back on. It come to the point where you will know when you will get SLIP. Or change the driving habit.
