dash kit for an 06
Sick of waiting myself, but hey, at least now a lot of the 2006 model HU's are hitting the streets. At this rate I may be already drooling at '07 models by the time the kit comes out.

i just ordered the z1 , xm traffic, and bluetooth. i am supposed to go by the installers place tomorrow to see what he can work out. will my steering wheel controls work with the new unit?

just got an email back from scosche and they said it will take another 2 to 3 months. I already bought some stuff for my car before checking whether or not they even made a dash kit for the car. By the time I get my stereo installed, the warranty would have expired already. how hard is it for a company to make a dash kit anyways...honestly... With the amount of time of R&D they are putting into this kit, it may end up costing 200+ bucks.
I hear ya, i have the same issue waiting to drop mine it.. i'm almost at the point i'm gonna say screw it and put the 05 kit in just to hold me over.. no one's in my car but me and occasionally my wife with me This is getting rediculous, they must not want to sell them too bad.

Anyway, just called metra. The 06 kit is in "R&D" right now - they don't even have a part # for it. The nice girl on the phone wouldn't give an ETA, but its reasonable to assume its going to be a while.
I spent the day pulling all my audio out my of my '98 prelude and now it looks like my gear is going to have to sit around a while. The 05 kit looks pretty janky so I guess I'll be waiting it out.

for all of you that wait for the new kit to install your head units: you are a better man than me, i couldn't wait. i figured $15 for a kit for now is not bad, even though i'll get the 06 kit when it comes out. when it comes out, i'll donate my old kit to a needy child, i love to see the smile on their faces.
