The kit doesnt look bad that GPS antennae is ****ED up, this is a fine example of HALFASSEDNESS. All they had to do to make that console sit flush is dremel a 1/8" notch in the top at the edge. $350 for an install? you got robbed sir.

exactly my thoughts i could have done batter lol

unfortunatly 250 is the going rate for "professional" shops arround here plus the
amp wiring kit and stereo mount kit a almost 100!! but i had no other source for install.. when the kit comes in i will have then do it professionally .. or i will bad mouth them all over the place and show pix of there "work"

For the '03-'05 kits, is there a difference between the metra and scosche kits? Are they the same quality?

The 03-05 z's with the exception of the 35th aniv... have 274lbs of torque with 287hp... 06 sticks come with 260lbs and 300hp thus why I said 05s have more torque, and I was jk don't get all butt hurt.
btw the 06 autos come with the 03-05 engine not the revup engine that the 06 sticks come with.

I don't think I'm going to make it. I might just go ahead and install my audio with the 05 kit and upgrade the 06 kit when(if) its available.

I know a lot of people like the factory bose system, but I think its absolute rubbish. The audio quality is horrendous and the HU's display is useless.

i hate my factory bose. it the WORST factory sound system i've ever had.
the base infinity system on my evo was better and that's not saying much
it is standard on the gt coupe, i'd be pissed beyond belief if i had to pay for it

i'mma just get the 05 kit and swap it out when 06 comes out

now if i can get bing to hurry up and make some time already....hahahaha

Hey great pics Stephen! I know what you mean about the gap I have the same problem with my 1997 Alpine 3DA-W880 in my 06' see: https://my350z.com/forum/audio-and-video/166573-10-year-old-head-unit-replaces-stock-2006-a.html

I love the Avic-Z1, I am assuming you did the install yourself? Did you get the Bluetooth hookup and Satellite?? How does the navigation work for you????

(BTW, I saw your name on your keychain)
