Default Need to return to stock BOSE...

Trading my car in and want to take my stereo out to put in my next car(2006 white Z coupe). Now...my problem arises. The front speakers were destroyed during install of the aftermarket ones. What should I do here? Also...the stock tweeter holes were drilled out to flush mount aftermarket tweeters. I'm considering just putting a cheap aftermarket head unit in and buying new speakers for the new car. Would this be an easier route or am I missing anything. Also...am I in for any hidden surprises when I go to put my stock stuff back in. I'm pretty sure I still have all the stock parts in a box somewhere.

i'd probably go the cheap head route you mentioned. i had a similar incident a few years ago. dealing w/ installing the factory stuff w/ your speakers jacked and dealing w/ the bose amps and wiring would be a mess.

I wonder how difficult it would be to do this. I mean...I don't want the next owner to have a jerry rigged stereo but at the same time don't wanna spend money on this one.
