Just ordered the 2006 Navi console from nissan..should be at my store sometime this week. List price was 142 and 80bux my cost. Dont know if i need more pieces but im hopin they sendin me the correct center console. When it gets here ill take pictures and give full update. I have a D1 and puttin a seperate screen on top for navi.

also what are you going to use for the double din dash kit?? Metra doesnt make one for the 06 yet??

 

i bought a generic one from tweeters and i also bought a metra kit...both dont fit very well with the D1....HUGE HUGE gap on the bottom. It freakin annoys me everytime i get in the car and makes me wanna rip out the D1 and put back the stock radio back on but I decided to be a bit more patient and just wait for the right dash kit to come out.

The dealer said they had to special order the console so hopefully ill see it at my shop around thurs-friday.

 

what LCD screen are you going to use for the nav??

 

Im not sure yet. Have a friend of mine that is a distributer for microvision screens. Can get those real cheap. Dont know if i use another screen for the D1 if touchscreen is compatible. If i get the non touch screen ill probably just display movies and av stuff on top and keep navi at the base.

Tony over at Perfomance Nissan told me he has a possible line on a dash kit for the 06.

I'll post any info I get.

 

Hmm i called and asked my dealer. He said they have not released the part yet. Since the car just came out and said hell let me know sometime this week when the delivery date will be

ok i just got a call from the dealer...It ARRIVED!!! they should be delivering it to me this afternoon...ill get some pictures up tonight and start swappin out the parts from my old one and get a screen soon

this whole 06 dash kit situation sux.

I spent 1100.00 on a stereo that sits in a closet...waiting for a stupid adapter!
wish i had known this before I spent the cash.

I guess I'm lucky that when I drive the Z I just forget about the whole mess.
