Have you figured the wiring out yet? I'm interested in getting a motorized door for my 06.
Have you installed it yet?

No. Apparently from what I've found out you've got to buy the whole main wiring for the Z to get that one little plug. And I'm not about to shell out $1000 just for a 10 cent plug. I'm wirking on making my own. I figure since I've got this part now I may as well atleast see what I can do to make it work. I'll try to power it first and see if I can rig a plug for it.

If that doesn't work I'll see if I can replace the motor in it with one I CAN control. Who knows... I could go so far as to make it remote controlable.

Right now though I've got plenty of other little projects so this will have to wait until next month atleast.

How many contacts do you have on the plug?

If it is three, I am wondering if one is ground, one is power up and one is power down.

Also, does it have end of travel switches?

No there's 10 contacts. I'll have to connect it to a 12v source and test it to see what each does. I'm guessing some are redundant and there's probably a relay in it of some sort with ground and some constant power/accessory power up/down ones.

Any updates? I've got an 06 nav door on the way. I can probably make it a manual door if I need to, but using the motor would be nice. I just didn't want a door that flipped out like the 06 lid does.

Ever make this work?

Thx

uou can't really make it a manual door. It WILL NOT raise and lower manually as long as the motor is installed in the back... If you take it apart it's loose and flimsy and would no doubt rattle like crazy once in the car.
