Is it possible to power 2 amps (~400W-500W) with one power cable from the battery? Running a 4awg from the battery then splitting it with a distribution block (one 4awg - two 4awg). Will this work?

I think he means amplifiers as amps. Yes you can. I have a 450w rms and a 400w rms amp on running in my current car off of 4ga wire. Also both of the amps are underated being older fosgate amps, so they can pull more like 700w and 550w. I haven't had any trouble with my 4ga lightning audio power cable.
