Default need help guys!

ok, so I bought the UsaSpec interface for ipod adapter box thing ( http://www.discountcarstereo.com/detail.aspx?ID=701 ). It has three boxes coming out of the interface. Two are roughly the same size, and one is pretty big.

This is the radio I have in my '06 base model Z (sorry, it's blurry):

Here's what the back of my radio looks like with all the factory connections still in place:

So here's what happened...the brown box stays in place (nothing replaces it).
One of the boxes from the UsaSpec interface goes into the empty slot to the left of the brown box. That one fit with no problems. Now the opening below that has the blue, red, and black wire does not get replaced, because nothing from UsaSpec is the same size. Now this is when I was starting to think there was a problem. The slot below the brown box gets replaced with one of the three UsaSpec boxes, which did fit. I thought, "ok, maybe only two of the three UsaSpexc boxes gets used". well, but disconnecting the box below the brown one, the headunit no longer had power. So does anybody see anything wrong with what I bought. It said it would be ok to use with a 2006 Z, but I'm confused now. I don't think this is the right interface to work.

well, I called UsaSpec, and they said that all three boxes need to be hooked up for this unit to work. Also, the headunit needs to have a CD Chnger button as well. Mine does not, so I guess that settles that.

Drifter, that's not true. Your button doesn't have to say cd changer. According to the instructions for your unit, you only need to be hooking up the 12 pin plug. The other plugs are not used in this application.

Check out this picture and you'll understand.

Try it with only the 12 pin connector (the top left slot) plugged in. I bet everything works.

ok, actually, all three plugs are used. I called discount and talked with the guy for a while and of course, it was the obvious that was wrong, but it works not and i'm happy as hell

Comes out right about even with the steering wheel...maybe a little further:

Had to dremel a little hole for the wire to come up:

Drifter, where did you place the USA-Spec adapter? Behind the radio?? Is there room back there?
