I I gave up on the Blose System, like alot of you I've decided the only way to really "fix" it is to get rid of it! I spent the last few hours checking out the local stereo shops and most of them have all said the same thing? That there is not a "dash kit" out yet for the Z or that they would have to make / mold one and want a pretty penny to do that! But I've the Metra (I think that's the name) kit, and honestly I don't like the way it looks. Doesn't match the rest of the dash, different color, and then just an empty shelf, looks kind of cheap. To me at least, no flame intended to those with it!!!
I know I've seen a handful of posts from guys replacing their systems but maybe I'm not using the correct phrase when searching b/c I'm not coming up with much on dash pieces? You guys that have replaced your headunits but went with something other than the Metra kit can you please post pics of it along with details on where you got it or what you had done for it to fit? Esp. post pics of any custom jobs! Thanks alot!!!!!!

any installer worth his salt should be able to make you something out of plastic or plexiglass that will make your installation look more 'custom.' that, or find a radio that's double DIN and will fill the entire space and look more 'factory.'
here are a few pics of my custom dash i made.. i hope it gives you ideas for your. http://photos.yahoo.com/metdfd
Metra makes a kit.... it's part number is 99-7400 *I think*. You can order it at Circuit City. I had my system installed today and it looks great! Not to mention the sound.......GOOD GAWD!!!!!!!!!!!
Below is a pic of the kit from Metra, it should cost around $20 - $25.
