Amp Recommendations
Hey All,
I am just about ready to buy the rest of my audio equipment, and have settled on Boston Acoustics components up front, a pair of Boston's in the rear deck, and 2 kicker 8" subs. How do I decide which amp to choose? I have been told that the JL 500/5 would be able to handle it all, but I've also been told that a dedicated amp for the subs is the way to go. I don't know much about amps, but want to make sure I choose the right one. Thanks.

Using two amps reduces the risk of sub noise coupling. When your sub is hitting very hard with an average 3/4/5 integrated channel amp it will heat up and inject ground plane noise that compromises the main's fidelity. So it is best to have a dedicated BD/D class amp for the sub/s.
