Default very important audio question

first off ill tell you what i have
head unit alpine cda 9855
fronts alpine type r components
rears alpine type r coaxial
sub (old) spl 10" soundstream
amp (old) soundsream reference 405 (5 channel amp)

now here is what i need:
i need two amps, one for the front and rear speakers and one for the sub i was considering going with the new alpine pdx 1.1000 and the pdx 4.150

i need a new sub (preferably a 12" sub) i was looking into the alpine type x or the jlw6

i also might get a set of type x components for the front instead of my type r

if you have any suggestions on what i should get or what i should do let me know please.

if you are stuck on alpine, and thent hose are price, but for similar price range, i would go something like this:

sub: image dynamics idmax12, more output than the w6 at similar prices. and IMO sounds a little better.

amp: Elemental designs nine1 for hte sub, nine 4 for the speakeres, or, more exotic, DLS also make stuff that suites your needs, but elemental amps are great, espeically consdering the money.

speakre: DLS Up6, UR6s, or even better for the front, keep your alpine caox in the rear...

i think when this set up is well installed and tuned, it would sound amazing, and prolly cost a little less than your plans...(again not sure where or how much you are getting your alpine stuff for, so based on normal walk in price)

of course there are other brands, but those i carry so i gotta beg a *****

again, the set up yuo listed though, will produce good results as well if well installed, i just think the list i put up could sound better and be a littlle louder

i say go with the alpine, but then again like 16psibrick i carry alpine so i'm partial. another good alternative might be zapco refrence series. think any of the brands done right would sound great.

i have a 10" in there now and it sounds okay but i like to hear the low notes and i love all music but rightt now the sub i have(granted its 10 years old) does not sound great with hip hop and is not to clean on rock so if im giong to upgrade i think ill do something different and go with a 12 to make sure i will get the low notes plus it will give my dad a challenge to come up with a nice way to install it he can do some nice fiberglass work and wood work so it will give him something to do. the main concern is the amps though i really like the way the new alpines look so i can mount them where they can be seen or i can stack them like on their website. i just didnt know what yall felt about the alpine type x subs no one really has them so i just dont know. but they are carbonfiber and im a carbon junkie, but the jls are time tested so that is my dilemma

at any given day, there is hundreds different combinations of equipment to achieve similar results tha you will be happy with, in the end, its comes down to installation and tuning all the euqipment you listed and listed in this post will do fine if you install and tuned it correctly

okay guys pic one or the other please i think i have narrowed it down
first set up: jl audio 500/1 mono sub amp $410
jl audio 10 w7 (1) $440
MB quarts 800 watt 4 channel amp $339

second set up: alpine pdx 1.1000 mono sub amp not out yetbut soon
alpine type x 10" sub $269
alpine pdx 4.150 4channel amp not out yet but soon

i dont know anything about the type x sub but it is a lot cheaper and ive heard it is better than a jl w6 (this was coming from a dealer around here that likes to bs sometimes but it does sell both products)

prices were taken off of a website not from my local dealer.

thanks again for chiming in people i appreciate all of your help

etiher subs are fine i have heard fine system built around both...thogh have trun getting subs to fit well under strut, with their super long motor structures, becareful you dont end up with a box thast not deep enogh or not at the right angle so the magnet hits the bottom of the box before the sub is all the way in...

sub wise, i think ether one is fine hoenstly, go whcih one you like more (based on looks, price etc),

amp wise, i will take alpine over mbq, then again, i dont like mbq much, the last mbq product i really like was their top of the line subs from a few years ago wtihthe woven cone...

but onet hin is kinda funny, why ar you set on running 1000 watts to the single 10? i honestly think people put way too much emphasis on power, i dbout you will ever use the 1000 watts its capableof putting out ever, so you end up just using up more money and drawing more current...

i say go wtih ta 600 watt class alpine amp instaed for hte sub...

so basically, alpine type x 10, alpine type x comps in kicks, alpine 600 watt amp for subs, alpine 2 channel for fornt stage, done...sound amazing and clean if installed well, for get about rear speakres and four channel amp, themoney you save spend it towards kicks ...

i am dead serious by the way

the reason im giong with the 1000 watt alpine rather than the 600 watt alpine is the alpine type x takes 1000watts rms and maxes out at 3000watts so that amp will still not be enough to hit rms because it only pushes 700watts @ 4ohm.

also i read somewher that the type r compnents are better than the type x and they can also handle more power so now im thinking of just keeping my type r components.

so as it stands now im going to have(when its all done )
alpine CDA-9855
alpine SPR-17LS
alpine SPR-17LP
alpine SWX-1042D
alpine MRV-F545
alpine MRD-M1005
