Default question about my amp

i have a soundstream XTA880.2 . its 880 watts at 4 ohms bridged. is that gonna be enough to bump 2 10w6v2's? I was just wondering i was planning on running 2 in a 1.5 cubic feet box. or would it be better just to run 1? thx.

If you sending those JL subs 400 RMS per sub you will have plenty of bass in thecar.

Here are the specs on the sub

JL 10w6v2
Cutout Diameter: 9 in
Speaker Depth: 6.9 in
Peak Power Rating: 400 Watt
Sensitivity: 83.7 dB
Manufacturer Warranty: 90 days

If you try to send them 1000 rms per sub you can kiss those speakers goodby.

I have two Infinity perfect 10.1's getting 400w each. That is more than enough bass for the small cabin of the Z. As long as you are not trying to win an SPL contest you should be very pleased with your setup.

That's a very inefficient woofer at 83.7 dB - still 400 watts will be plenty enough to damage your hearing pretty quickly.

There are very few aftermarket subwoofers that can be replaced if blown, so in reality, if you blow your sub, you will need to purchase a new one.
