I sell grounding kits on here, and while some people claim HP gains....I don't. I do feel grounding kits add some enhancement to the car. If you have ever noticed, all cars have a ground wire to the chassis. Obviously it is something the manufacturer does otherwise bad things might happen. Grounding wires are simply a much better way to ground...so they are going above and beyond the regular factory wires. high end audio people swear by them. also, many people pimp their engine bays for shows, or just to show off. they can certainly compliment painted/CF engine covers, colored hoses, etc etc.

while you can find grounding kits for cheap on ebay etc etc....i would caution you. Some of those are "universal" kits might have extra wires or instructions that you have to change to install right. also, some of those kits are 8 gauge wire or smaller. even worse, they might be claiming 4 gauge wire but it sactually smaller. I do not charge much for my kits and I dont make as much profit as people might think. I think the price is fair considereding some brand name kits can sell for over $100....I am trying to offer a product that is fair for other enthusiasts on here.

The cables i got were specifically for the Z/G35. I also noticed that my engine idle fluctuation has been minimized. My idle is great now.

anyone noticed any jump in Voltage after installing the kit? I don't remember my volts being 3/4 up the stock volt meter (since I didn't get an accurate one installed yet - i just have to go by it for now). I guess I just haven't really paid attention to the volt meter before installing bolt ons but just curious about this....It's still in the "normal" range according to the Z manual but it's right on the border. Not 16. Anyone else noticed?

It makes a difference but you can't notice it. So thats why people say it's just for looks. The Hp gain is arguable with dyno sheets but who cares.

I would just get a kit like this:
http://www.intensepower.com/imrgrwikit35.html

It's nice, you get any color, instructions, pictures.

Well, that's why I'm asking because I can honestly say I don't remember my Volts being that high. I did nothing different than what the instructions said.
I bought one from ebay...custom Kit i forgot the name.

This is an old thread, bumped for a legitimate reason. Z4Zum, congrats for using the forum properly. Let's see if these other guys can figure it out.

Personally I don't have grounding cables, or else I would answer your question.

There's a little more then just that one ground wire bud. When you have ground issues you soon find out just how many wires there are.

This is coming from someone who had a sleeved boosted motor. The new owner ran 10.3 on my old build. =`( I miss that car =`(

I didnt spend much time reading the previous replys but the way I see it is this---Todays cars are SOOO dependent on a bullit proof Grounding system that u cant go wrong having a heavy duty backup. A lot of probs with glitches and "Scratch ur head" diagnostics are related to poor grounds.
Ultra-Heavy Grounding and a little color scheme ----WTF ,,,Go for it ---I did

Did anyone notice a jump in the voltmeter gauge? Mine reads a around 13.9 volts plus or minus .1 volts on a stock battery. If the voltage doesnt increase, I cant see how it would make any difference. Also, did anyone notice a voltage increase when they replaced their stock batteries with a Stinger or Optima (high output) battery?

i have grounding cables in my Z. it can never hurt (unless you install them to +, lol) but always help.there is nothing wrong with giving less resistance to help those electrons flow from one area of the car to the next. HELP THOSE ELECTRONS FLOW!
