Push button Start
Has anyone put a push button start into there car? If so, how'd ya do it? It seems like it'd be a pretty easy install.
Can you replace the pushbutton with any momentary push switch?

I have seen some guys use a S2000 OEM button...I think there are a couple threads around here about this, a search might help you out. Each time this was done *if I recall correctly* you still had to use the key and turn the ignition on, then press the button.

you mean turn it to accessory power or crank it as you press? I think even in teh s2k you've got to insert the key and turn.
Yeah I would search but the search feature doesn't seem to work on my computer here at work... DoD screwin' me again.

To answer my own questions.... I found this bit:
Connect one side of your switch to ground. Connect the other side to pin #85 of the SPDT relay. Connect ignition to pin #86 of the relay. Connect 12v constant to #87. Connect the starter wire to #30.
When you push the button it will engage the relay (if the ignition is on) and send 12v to the starter.
If you splice into the starter wire you can use either normal or button to start the car. If you cut the starter wire and connect the keyside to 87a it will allow you to start the car normally when the button is not being pressed. Being that you'll never be doing both at the same time its just an extra step that isn't necessary. Also, it wouldn't hurt it at all if you did try both at the same time.

For those wanting to visually compare the S2K vs Z8 buttons, look at the bottom of this linked page:
