Has anyone experiences skips on CD's in their car?

jams, skips, pauses on its own, both on my Max and my neighbors Z. I think his wife abuses his Z way too much. She treats his car like sh*t

The only time I've had skips is when I switched to re-circualted air shortly after startign the 350z on a cold morning. The humidty level rose in the car and caused a condensation build (i could see it on the windows) and the same thing must have happened to the laser head and/or cd....
Within minutes of reverting to "fresh" air mode the skipping stopped.
