It's because you can hear the harmonics of the bass (the double and tripled frequncies) from the distortion most subwoofers reporduce. The W7 does not do this. That is why many don't feel the W7 is that good ... it doesn't produce the crappy bass we are so accustomed to love and expect in a LOUD system.
