why isnt my w7 loud?
i installed a w7 in a custom box under the strut. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Nissa...50981643QQrdZ1.
It is not as loud as most people said it would be. i have a 500/1 with the
10w7. I have a set of diamond audio components in the rear and front hooked up to an eclipse amp. What can i do to get more bass out of the speakers and sub? I turned the volume all the way up and stood about 3 feet away from the car and all that can be heard is voice.

Probably a gain/HU/bass boost type issue. Check all HU settings, and set your gains correctly. Do you have a remote bass **** hooked up (cant remember if that amp has one)?

What ohm is your sub? Is the sub wired correctly? Is it in the right size box? Are the settings on the amp correct? Does your headunit have sub out? If so is it turned up? I installed a W7 under the strut brace in buzzardmountains Z running off a 500/1 and it pounds, so something is wrong.

??
If everything else is right try switching the + and - on the sub speaker wiring. It can be out of phase with the rest of the system even if you payed attention to all + and - connections. It will sound like the sub is trying to do what it should but it just doesn't sound complete or hit hard.
You aren't using the stock HU are you?? Didn't see above where you mentioned what HU you are using. Stock HU has steep roll off on the bass.
Last post may have hit it though. You've GOT to have enough airspace for your sub to work right...

If you have a separate subwoofer level control on the hu check to see if its turned on/up. Also, make sure they used the subwoofer out rca's from the hu to your amp.
