These enclosures look very promising we will be playing them in a convertible tomorrow I will let everyone know of th eresults. We did a A and B set up on the show room floor and they definitely rocked the showroom floor...

We put the Jl w1 versus Kenwood $300 Sub, and an Alpine Sub we had on the floor. I would say the 10w1 definitely held it's own.

In car experience is just amazing... We had it in a roadster and result is amazing... The amp was a 400 Watt US Amps Running 2 JL 10w1 subs...

For most people 1 enclosure will be more then enough, I know it is for me... I would rate th eenclosures Loud... Not the cleanest but definitely has a presence. 2 enclosures is Very very loud... The particular car we tried it in had a Fiberglass mold seperating th eback of the seats from the compartments so in a stock roadster it will generate better results...

Carpeted section is the section that was open in the previous pictures. It is not covered with Fiberglass and will ship with Carpet on that side since that is the only side you may see when the cubby door is open.

Damn Nazar ... $250 for a 10" mold! with carpet

I usually always recommend you to my guys that I do installs for, but damn I can't support this.

Two Problems here:

1) Price is too high, Yes .. I understand a mold is difficult to make, but you are now in the $15-30 per box range in materials/labor considering the simple carpet covering (assuming you have a good mold, this is a set it and forget it manufacturing process).
2) You are firing the subwoofer into an "secondary" leaky chamber .. not the cabin, altering sound quality as well as quantity as there are lots of undamped panels in there to excite and reduce output.

I was about to purchase the box as well but I have a few reservations regarding how much rattling it'll introduce. I've read several threads about others who have put a sub box in this location and had to rip out everything to dampen the entire area to quiet the rattles.... anyone have any personal input?

This enclosure was originally designed for the ROADSTER and iy is pretty much th ebest choice for the conertible 350Z, HOWEVER it also fits the Coupe. And for those looking for a great sounding sub enclosure and be Totally STEALTH this is the option. Unless you want to build your own enclosure.

I am open for constructive critisism however this is rather not called for.

Everyone is allowed their personal opinions... YOU CAN NOT BUILD THIS BOX FOR $15 IF YOU CAN I WILL BUY AT LEAST 100 BOXES FROM YOU... (Same concept as You can buy a Hyundai for $15,000 But Why is everyone driving a 350Z in this forums that cost twice as much). The box you build needs to be the same exact quality thickness and accuracy everytime you make it. And you will need to be able to produce at least 4-5 Boxes a week. ... It is a free country you can say what you want but please think about what you are saying before saying it. No hard feelings here just want to set it straight.

I think you forget the process and the labor that goes into these 100% fiberglass sealed enclosures... We have these made with WQuality Resin instead of th estuff you get in Auto Zone or Home depot. This box is a 36 piece mold so It takes time to build it.... IT IS NOT FOR EVERYONE... You want to build your own box I am all for you and support your decision. However this is not your Wooded square box that will be held in place with metal straps. This is a custom fit fiberglass enclosure... AS for the cost It is VERY FAIR and will be marked at $299.95 after the group buy... We DON'T Even need to carped the face since you wont see it, We only do it so it looks nicer when the cover is open for the Glove Box... we don't even calculate the cost of carpet.

As for firing it into the cabin well you do need to Dynamat the sub floor in there and you will not have any more vibrations then you would with any other enclosure... HAVE DONE MANY 350Z's and vibration is a problem with these cars what ever enclosure you use. weather you are firing back or not.
