Default Who has installed aftermarket LCD?

Hey guys i am looking to install an aftermarket LCD screen in my factory spot where the nav was supposed to go.

I am looking at the 2002 Model FARENHEIT T-7001MHR and i was wondering if any of you had installed this particular model and how would it fit?

Thanks for the help,
if you have any suggestions on other non high cost LCD screens let me know.

I have one installed. They are easy to install.

The FARENHEIT T-7001MHR fits perfect. My only wish is that they had this lcd with VGA.

I believe rouxeny has some pics of his installed.

Got mine from Ebay for $276, $291 with shipping.

If you are looking for a VGA, Scafremon is working with a company to get some in April or May that would likely fit in the Z's Nav area without major modifications.

Yes, I have a thread in this forum which goes through this all in detail.

The screen fits fine and is easy to install.

I'm no electrician and wanted to play it on the safe side so I used the cigarette lighter and a series of wires and adapter from radioshack... All the wires are fused so I don't have to worry about blowing anything up.

I have one wire that I ran up to the front that feeds both the LCD and FM modulator.

The switch on the plug at the cigarette lighter turns on everything (including a PC, tv tuner, and antenna)...IMO this is better than going directly into the car wires or fuse box...because I can have it power up when car starts or I can turn it on after the car starts to prevent power surges. Only disadvantage I see is the exposed plug and wire at the cigarette lighter is a little tacky but it's practical.
