2 Questions.

1. Has anyone tried a free air sub in the stock bloze location? How did it sound? Pics? balh blah blah...

2. Has anyone built the box going around on here that fits in the compartment behind the driver seat (where the bose went)? How did it sound,etc...?

I wanted to try free air with dynamat, but I have never had any experience with these subs and Im thinking it would be crappy. I read one forum while searching and someone said the box idea wasnt good either. I am thinking of going with the Zenclosure, but I really dont want that in my trunk.

One more thing, Has anyone found a version of the corner enclosure made by Nazar that is not fiberglass and doesnt cost 300 dollars? This is way too steep and for this money I would get the dual 10" box under strut bar. Thanks guys.
o yea i did search for a couple hours and never got any conclusive answers.

i think an enclosure in that area can't be made out of anything BUT fiberglass... although i have a G35 and not a 350, that area has tons of curves and shapes and the box needs to conform to them. you can't make complex box shapes like that out of MDF

actually $300 isn't too bad for something like that... if you were to have a local place custom make one it would probably cost a few hundred more than that. don't forget, if you get a dual 10" box under the strut, then you gotta buy another woofer which is more $$$.

doesn't Zenclosures make a version of their box that goes in between the rear strut and the seats? that area is probably the least used part of the trunk and the enclosure would be MDF so not too expensive either

interesting point....i havent seen taht one, but that would be a better fit for me. i have a 12" fosgate power dvc, so I wouldnt have to buy any subs if I could get that monster to mount in there, but i doubt the mounting depth would work

never does show an installed sub there though. i didnt realize that there is that much room in there too.

its just an mdf box, you wont ever see it cause the plastic cover goes over it

ya i saw that but thats not the fiberglass one that sun auto(or something like that) is selling.
