also inverting the sub will give you even less room to work with. the box itself could be smaller but you would have to make room for the driver itself and room for it to move.

 

that makes sense, but why do some people invert their subs? (please excuse my audio ignorance) i thought of this idea seeing other peoples setups, and thought a single sub would look better inverted.

 

that's all it's there for is for looks. IMO you lose a lot of sq by inverting the sub.

 

Gotcha

i was thinking the sub could go in the spare tire well, but that seems to lose a lot of space, less then if under strut or b/w rear speakers and the strut..... i dunno, i gotta figure this 1 sub thing out; see with 2 W6v2's, at least their placement is easy....
