The Q's are still made in Germany.

Really, as long as the product is produced up to exect spec, it really doesn't matter where it is made.

MB Quart is actually still privatly owned and operated in Germany. Their US Division in charge of marketing and some product development was sold to RF and then to Maxxsonics. All engineering and product design are still done by the Parent Company in Germany. Construction for all of their lower product lines is farmed out to China with Their Highest End products still being hand made in Germany.

I have installed dozens of systems using all MB Quart, from the time they were a German Company, through RF and on to the Maxxonics stuff. The Quality on the low end stuff seems to have actually gotten better over the years and the high ends stuff has always been top notch.

Like I said, the biggest problem people have with quarts is listening to them in cheap cars insalled by 3 monkeys and a drunk hobo. You really need to have a good foundation for them, Proper sound deadening, proper Di-pole, Off-axis driver alignment and the appropriate high end electronics to back them up. thats all there is to it.

They use scan speak drivers in that component set. Alpine just designed the crossover networks.
