I wonder if any double din navi w/ dvd HU can play the DVD/CD while using the navi. I wanna get a double din navi/dvd hu to replace the stock hu and put a LCD screen in the cubby. I wonder if it is possible. Thanks in advance!!

The Pioneer AVIC D-2 fits the bill. Acccording to Pioneer: Taking advantage of the large, double-DIN size, the AVIC-D2 hides two separate disc slots behind its face panel — one for navigation map DVD-ROM and one for CD (audio CD or MP3/WMA). Music from the CD player or other audio source can be enjoyed while the navigator is in operation — in other words, there is no need to eject the map DVD-ROM.

Do any of the HUs come with two DVD slots? All of them allow you to use the Nav while listening to CDs. Which ones allow you to watch a DVD on a seperate screen while having the Nav on the HU? As far as I know, you need a separate DVD player hooked up to the LCD he wants to put in the cubby. Let me know if you find a unit that has two slots capapble of DVD playback.

the avic d2 has two slots, one for cds and another solely for the nav dvd.

im not positive, but i THINK one of the older eclipse DD's had 2 DVD slots. the model number escapes me though
