Default 6.5" component recommendation - Diamond S600S

What are the more natural sounding components? I mostly listen to vocals, slow rock, and the occasional rap if I'm in the mood.

Considering the Diamond Audio S600S or the D661S, both are silk domes.

My budget is around $250 or so. These will be acompanied by two 10's, so base is not an important factor for these components.

Ideas are greatly appreciated.

If I do go with the S600S, would I need spacers for the front? 1" MDF? How big of an opening would I need? 5", 5 1/2", or 5 3/4"?

Thanks!

I had the Diamonds before. Even with silk tweeters and adjusting the xovers, the Diamonds S600S are pretty harsh at higher volumes.

Check out the FOCALs. The 165V1 is within your budget. I have 2 pair in my car right now and can't say enough about the sound quality of them. Check them out!

S600S > 165V1

I've owned both and cannot understand why Focal is so popular lately. Diamond Audio Hex's sound outstanding!

Boston Pro60s > Diamond Hex S600s hands down but you can't get them for $250 .
