Head Unit Newbie Question
Hey guys,
Like the title states i have never installed any type of HU before and i asked a couple of friends to help me out, they wanted to know a couple of questions about the non bose unit.
1. Is there a manuel or diagram to disassemble the plastic dashboard surrounding our radio's. (just to make a lil easier to take apart and know which are the necessary screws to take out)?
2. Does the non bose system have a seperate amp for the stock speakers, so we don't have to by pass them?
3 I am getting a single din dvd head unit, do you guys prefer any brands over the other when choosing single hu adapter peice. Looks and fitment wise.
thanks,
MO

ok, the hu power everything for the non bose, no bypaasing anything. use the regular nissan harness. as for the kit, use metra or metra premium.
as for the dash
open the nav door, pull out the mat on the inside, you will see 2 little panels, pop them off then you will be able to take out 2 screws. then take off the trim around the shifter, you will see 2 more screws, then you will be able to pull ou the ac piece. take it off, then you will see more screws. take them out, then pull the whole center of the dash off, including guages, pull from the top gently, you will not be able to pull it out far, then you will have to look behind the trim and the dash is connected to the radio. unscrew those 4 screws. then you can take off the trim, then unscrew the radio from the inner dash frame and your homefree
