Default easy stock sub frame aka woofer plate removal...

I'm installing a car PC. Is there any way to remove the metal stock sub plate without removing the entire rear plastic panel?
I started removing the plastic rear panel but stopped after breaking 2 of the snaps. Any other way?
I've read these howtos, by the way:

nope...you must remove quite a few panels to take that metal piece out. the two side panels right where the seat belts are must come off and you also need to loosen the center console before you can take that back piece out. i just had my whole car ripped apart so i learned which panels need to go on first and whatnot through trial and error.

I got it out without taking any panels out. Just bend the panels out of the way and unscrew the bolts one by one, it's difficult, especially near the center of the car, but it's doable, and i have fat fingers too. Maybe a friend would help, but i got mine out on my own.

I just had my car torn apart this weekend to do my install. It will be very difficult to remove this plate without first taking out the plastic panels. There isnt much flex in the pieces, and it wouldnt be worth the rick of cracking any of them. And if you are going to be installing a car PC, I'm assuming that you are going to have a few wires to run, so you will need to remove these panels anyways.

thanks much for the replies. I'm glad I asked. Yes, it did seem like it might just be possible to move the lower rear panel a bit (maybe a low-profile ratchet?) but I guess I'll just plan on making it a 15 hour job

I took mine out without removing the plastic panels...but it was a HUGE ***** to do...used a 10mm open end wrench to get to all the bolts behind the plastic panels. They were torqued pretty tight so I had to get a piece of metal pipe to put around the wrench to get some more leverage.
