Default HELP! NEED A QUICK SOUND FIX. What would u do?

ok , so i Got the TRack model and missed out on the NAV and the BOSE......i probably have the easiest stock setup to work with. Lets say you had about 400 dollars and you wanted a Neat simple easy fix. i.e.( front rear speakers and maybe even a small amp)

I dont need boominbass, and i wouldnt put a sub in because if i did , i would only want it to be a custom enclosure behind my seat...and i just dont have the greenbacks for somthing like that. Unless someone has a less pricey alternatiuve for a stealth sublocation.

so heres the deal.....u have 400 dollars and a Ps2 u already intend on puttin in and using as the A/ V for the On dash screen.

alright experts....what speakers for the 6.5's ? what would u do next?

Not to bust your bubble, but $400 isn't enough for much of anything.

Yes you can get a decent setup for 400$( If you install yourself). Get MB Quart seperates up front (150) and MB Quart coax in the rear (99) then try to find a two channel amp to run your front speakers and run the rears of the head unit. This setup will make big improvement but won't be great. To really get the most out of this setup you will need a decent head unit. As far as the PS2, save some money up and do it right.

crutchfields good, but toooo expensive (plus they dont have the HIGH end parts) use something like onlinecarstereo.com... great buys there.

$800, (and you dont put in a head unit) id do JL Vr650 Coaxials (rear) and Xr650-csi (front) witha JL 300/4 amp .... total from onlincarstereo.com is 790 (including shipping)

Just a suggestion

you can get a pioneer 10 inch free air sub for around $60 on the internet . the sub would bolt right in to the factory spot and save the hassle of building a box. plus you can get the factory sub cover from courtesy nissan for less than $6.oo and would give you the perfect factory look. you say you already have an amp . you can get a power wire kit that comes with every thing you need for hook up . you can tap into the factory stereo at the rear speakers with a line out converter which would take your speaker level and turn it into rca for your audio signal to your amp. the kits can be had for around $25-$30 the line converter can be had for around $15. plus your amp will fit behind the subwoofer in the big cavern of a sub enclosure.so right there your only at about $110 that leaves you with another $690 to find some really nice front and rear speakers. and maybe a second amp to power those really nice speakers.

I have that Pioneer sub, Model TS-W254F. It's being powered by about 200 watts of a 450 watt Alpine five channel amp....and it sounds damn good.

if you pop that panel off behind the driver seat there should be a speaker baffle right behind it . all you would have to do is make some new holes to screw the sub in . use the free air sub so you don't need a box or the added weight.go to courtesyparts.com and look up the sub woofer grill. it's factory part and only cost like $6.

The Alpine amp and equalizer are in the glovebox behind the passenger seat.

I drilled holes, applied two layers of self stick foam to the mounting edges of the sub, and screwed it to the factory sub mount. It's a free air sub, so no sealed enclosure is required. It sounds excellent, with no panel buzz or rattles at all. With the amp I'm using, it produces more bass than I could ever want.
If I really crank it up, I can render the rear view mirror totally useless.

Hmmm......what part of "no panel buzz or rattles at all" didn't you understand?

Maybe you should actually put an amp and sub in your car before you worry about things that may not even be there. MIne sounds rock solid.....and so does the rest of the car. If you mount the sub properly, I don't see why yours should sound any different.

dont buy rear speakers.. they are a waste..

especially if you are not on a big budget !!!!!

even if you were on a big budget rear speakers are a waste of time and $$$$

a) you dont need them
b) they will ruin your sound
c) they cost $$
d) you dont need them
