make it so the factory alarm doesn't flash the headlights? I hate the way it does this, it's not good for the xenons and pisses me off. Is there a way to make it flash the hazards or something instead?

No...not when I lock/unlock it. When the alarm goes off/when I hit the panic button the headlights flash.

Ohh...ok. I see what you're saying. My headlights also go off when setting off the alarm, or atleast they're supposed to. I tried it once to make sure it works when attempting to open the door with the window down, and it did. I wasnt able to see if the headlights were going off, but the manual states that they will. I dont know of a way to disable this, but how often is your alarm going off? I'm guessing that if it is legitimetly getting triggered, it is worth the risk of damaging the lights.

Every car and alarm I've ever owned has had the headlights blink when the alarm goes off. After all, you want to draw as much attention to the car as possible, especially if you push the Panic button.
