Default 1 10" JL 10W3V2 is ENOUGH!

So guys, I yesterday I had a JL 10W3V2 put into a box by Mike @ Zenclosures (WHICH IS AWESOME BY THE WAY), and I have a PPI 360rms amp pushing it. Seriously, I don't see how anyone could want more bass than this! I have the thing turned down all the way on the bose deck and only half-way up on the amp and it seriously provides a powerful boom boom for my buck. Even the install guy was like, "uhh...that's really really loud for 1 10"...and it sounds clear... so for any of you cats looking for a nice bass solution, the JL 10w3v2 sounds great in the 350z... I had the amp mounted in the locked compartment and it's a really clean setup. I reccomend it to anyone.

have the same setup with a jl 250/1. i have the gain at just over half and it hits hard enough for me. i have no idea why people need three 10w6v2's like ive seen. mostly for show i would hope. i would be scared my rear window would pop out while driving. i for one do not need ghetto bass. i, me, myself likes to enjoy music, i dont need to share it with others. although i wouldnt mind running a single 10w6v2 for a cleaner sound at extreme volumes.

I still have my W3V1 installed in the stock sub compartment, and it's been sounding great for the last 3 years! The bassdrum sounds are punchy and the electronic bass sounds are deep enough :-) It's only powered by a small amp!

I had 2 10w6's V2 in my hatch run by a 1000/1 amp, and my hatch would move about 1/2" from the bass..

Yea, almost any sub is enough for the Z, it's soo small. I have my sub at -15 and my amp almost off and still hits too hard.

If you looking for just a clean sounding sub and not going to really pound it in any SPL competitions, the SW3 will sound superb!! I dont think it can handle 500 wats however, perhaps a lower powered amp would work fine, I think JL audio has a chart on their website of reccomended wattages for their subs.
Either one you chosse you cant go wrong!!

Yes, I am interested, so far all the sellers on ebay seem to only have "reconditioned" subs. Maybe that is okay, any thoughts?

thanx in advance

i should be able to run the 2 10w3 without a problem with the 500/1 but if i ran only one then yea i think the amp would be too much

I have a 10W3v1 in an under strut bar box also and its really loud for one sub. Even the shop that made the box for me thought so. All I have for an amp is an old RF Punch 200. lol

I have a 10X6V2 in Zenclosure. Great sound - plenty of base, however, if I had it to do again, I'd consider 2 sub setup.
