From user reviews it looks like aftermarket would be a better way to go anyway. The factory NAV is not touchscreen as was originally claimed. Also, aftermarket units have better features and seem to be more advanced. Look into DVD nav from Alpine, Pioneer and Kenwood (the touchscreen). I myself am leaning towards the Alpine, since so many here had good experiences with the TME-M760 LCD fitting in the cubby hole. It also seems to be a good compromise between cost (Kenwood) and usability/features (Pioneer).

My dealer looked into extensively - as they promised it could be added later. It cant.
You can order all the replacement parts - BUT the NAV cars are pre-wired from the factory. The harnesses are different and theres some extra wiring in there too. VBasically the COST of fabricating a custom harness and rewiring the WHOLE car are why its "Impossible".
That said, I love my Alpine, and the options one has with it - primarily the ability to add a reverse cam to the TME-650s auto reverse sensing input (wich mirrors the input as well). Then you STILL have two extra channels - DVD(cheap..via PS2), and computer monitor input for MP3s.
BTW - how many inputs does the farenheit 7" screen have?

It has two. I'm going to use one for Nav, one for a separate DVD player mounted in the other rear cubby. The DVD player has RCA inputs also, so I could have something else there if I eventually wanted. The DVD player plays MP3's also, which is nice.
Install in one week.
