XM radio question
Both XM and Sirius signals will reach most of Canada, but the receivers are not legal to be sold there. You would have to buy one in the US, have it activated here with a verifiable US billing address. You can then drive to Canada and enjoy satellite radio.
You can have XM it works but you have to open up a PO box in the us and register there.
As far as why it's not legal in Canada, simple, here the government wants to control and tax everything. That's brand new so they haven't had time enough to come up with an inventive tax for it

XM radio does not work well in Vancouver. The angle to the bird is so low that almost any building, or treeline on the southside will block reception. I only use mine when travelling through the US.
