Default Metra 80-7550 & 70-7550??

Guys,

I was looking for the rigjt harness to install my AVIC-Z1 and i just realize that i got Harness Metra 80-7550.

Does anyone know if there is a diference with the 70-7550?

Do i need to return this one and get the 70-7550??

Thanks

EDIT:

I found this on a seach in google.

My harness have 2 ends... looks a bit diferent from the one in the pic. My question is.. Do i have to break one of the end and hardwire each signal? or i just have the wrong harness???

If those two ends fit in your radio harness ... then it will be useable by cutting off the extra connector. You can verify this with the Metra packaging and the color guide stickied here.

Just cut of the extra connector and you will be fine. The one you purchased is called a smart harness. It basically is made to plug right into the vehicle and right into the radio. They are made for all radio manufactures which most of the time cuts the install time by half because you do not have to solder or crimp anything. The part that fits into the vehicle is the same regardless.

Default Thanks Duke!

So Duke...
The harness marked with the Question mark I will be getting rid of..and then manually match each signal wire with each other. is this correct?

I kind of figure it, but i just want to run it by the forum and get some feedback, maybe someone already did it, or maybe the other harness (70-7550) is easier.

They are the same, you can cut the plug off and match the wires up color for color. Make sure you put that light green colored wire on the pioneer harness to ground(black wire) or whatever screen you are putting in won't be able to display video when the car is moving .
