Default Preout voltage (HU) vs. Input Impedance (amp)

Stupid question time:

I was looking at getting the Eclipse CD8445 for a pretty decent price with the 8V preouts, but looking up the spec sheet on my amp (Kenwood KAC8452) it shows the input impedance as 5.0V, so basically that limits me to a maximum of 5V preout voltage correct?

Still trying to decide on a good head unit.. too many friggin decisions.

Impedance is measured in ohms. Are you sure you're reading it right?

Haha I'm a tard you are right, I read the wrong line across.. God today has been kicking my *** at work.

My whole reason in asking is that I'm worried after doing some research aka searching on google about the Eclipse head units. A few issues with the 8V pre amp outputs being too much for some amps. I noticed that they new HU's from Eclipse were 5V pre outs. I am not sure if I will have problems with a Kenwood KAC-8452 amp and the Eclipse CD8445 HU, it's on sale for like a little over $200 so from what I've read/seen that's a pretty damn nice HU for a lot less than what it was last year.

You won't have an issue.. I've run into something similar before and called a number of tech support lines on it. From my exp, the HU ratings are on the high side.

I picked up the 8445 and didn't have any issues (Older PPI amps, and PG Xenon). The increase to 8v preouts was GREAT! highly recommend it.
