With the components mounted in the factory speaker locations, do you hear any rattles coming from the door? Are the tweeters separate or built into the speakers? If they are separate, did you mount it in the factory location next to the window?

Default Factory location

Speaker and tweeters are in factory location, The Jl XR650-CSi have separate the tweeters & woofer. I dynamated the whole door, even put a few inside the door behind the glass. no rattle for me.

I also dynamated the rear panel.

I get some rattle fomr the trunk (i didn't have anough dynamat there, but I will get some) when the subs crack up.

Maturola,
Did you have to drill the brackets for the avic z1 to open? I read where someone mounting another DD setup had to drill holes 3/8" back. I mounted mine in the stock holes and the door was sticking. So I drilled some more holes and tried it again...still sticking. Then I tried another set of holes and I finally got it to work. It was a pain in the *** and I ordered another set of brackets to redo it cause I am not happy with it and I have no room to get another set of holes in there.

with my alpine screwed into the factory holes, it sticks out like a centimeter. i actually like how it looks, but if i want to flush it, i'd have to drill holes.

I just got a Z1, i wanted to install it on my 2007 350z. But i know nothing about installation besides looking at this picture tutorial at *********.com. But is 2006 and older model only.

So does anyone here know how to take apart the center console for a 2007 350z? Any suggestions will help, thanks in advance
