got two problems with my current navi system. 03 brickyard manual touring with navi.

i've been reading that just replacing the stock bose hu will make the speakers sound better. but my problem is that i have the navi and putting in an aftermarket hu will cancel the voice directions. is there any shop in california that knows how to work their way around this without having to add an extra speaker.

second question is that my buddy gave me his 05 navi disk from his armada and i tried it in my 03 but it didn't work. it's not a bad navi disk cause we tried it in his armada again but it still doesn't work in my z. does anyone else have the same problem?

I got navi too and have heard that you can take take one of the speakers and place it under the drivers seat.

 

the navigation discs are really picky. for eg. an 05 disk wont work on my 06. Even if they both are for the Zs.

Apparently the 6.4 nav disc (which came out in November 2005) comes with an upgrade CD that makes changes to your nav system software. The instructions for this upgrade CD say: "Install the updated navigation system data before using the [6.4] map DVD-ROM." So it looks to me like the 6.4 map DVD won't work unless you also update your software.
