Where to intall my Valentine1?
Hi Guys,
I just got my new Touring 350Z yesterday evening (ordered it back in Oct/Nov). And I was wondering where can I plug in my Valentine1 radar/laser detector?
I haven't seen my interior in daylight yet, and all I could find last night as an "accessory outlet" behind the seats in the center. I don't really want to use that, since the cable doesn't reach all the way to the dash, and I don't want to run it that far anyway. I noticed something about a cigarette lighter in the manual, however, I don't have the optional ashtray.
Is there another outlet that I'm missing? How are most people hooking up their radar detectors? Is it a custom job? I guess I could use the accessory outlet to charge my cell phone occasionally, but I don't want a long cable stretching across to my windshield for the Valentine1.

Nevermind, someone answered my similar post in another section. But I do have a direct-wire install question here:

Definately go with a direct hookup to the fuse box. However, you should consider putting the V1 on the headliner by the CHMSL. Search for V1 and stealth installation. This is a really great place to put it. Out of sight, good sensitivity, etc.
