ACC+ is a 12 volt DC source controlled by the ignition key. ACC means accessory. This source of power turns on and off the radio with your key in the ignition so that the thing doesn't drain the battery.
12V constant means a constant source of battery power. That source is going to keep your radio's memory charged and also assist with flipping your fold out screen if you have one.

if i dont connect the constant power does the unit not work? cuz my dvd player is not workin right now. I just connected the acc+ line to the wire thats powerin my radio and screen. grounded the black line to the body and i have that 12v constant line not hooked up. Any suggestions??

i don't know if you have ever been to either of these, but you could get a detailed answer from vwvortex.com and possibly dubohio.com. vortex is my strongest suggestion though
