Great subs for small places. Aren't gonna play too deep .. but are nice and accurate.

Do they need alot of wattage to them? N I havent seen anyone on the board with them. Tight space sub is a must for the roadster.

The smaller the box, the more power you will need. It'll be fine with a real 500W amplifier.

How would u compare these to a 10w3. I currently have the Bose and planning to get rid of it. I might get the Pioneer in a 12 since it so shallow.

10w3 vs. Pioneer shallow sub

kinda like comparing:

F-22 vs. Cessna

10w3 have a better SQ and will also have better SPL, depending on your tastes and set-up.

Give the Pioneer credit (as I doubt you have ever heard one)
10W3 vs. Pioneer small-sealed would be a very close competition SPL wise (much to the demise of JL fans)

The W3 really cannot be compared anyways, as it takes more than twice the box to actually use it.

Thats what I was getting at, Jim. It depends on set-up. And a lot on personal tastes. I have not had a chance to fab any boxes for the pioneer yet. Have helped with my fair share of JL enclosures, though. And many an older pioneer, too. In fact, I may be doing something with a couple Pioneer TS-SW in a buddies boat real soon.
