choosing subwoofer advice
I now this is kind of an open question, but what 10" subwoofer would you guys recommend for the Z? I've never had a hatch to deal with, so I know that changes the game a bit. I not looking for an overwhelming amount of bass, just a little bit of much to complement my infinity components (powered by an Alpine 4 channel 70x4 RMS amp). i'm also not sure if two 10" woofers would be over kill or not. I like the Alpine Type R since I've had that before. What do you guys think?
If you have experience with the Alpine ... I'd say that's a good choice then.
For a box ...I suggest a Zenclosures box.
Also ... having a pair of tens not only looks better .. it will actually sound better, especially when louder. You are essentially making each woofer do half the work that one would. Of course it CAN be louder ... but you don't have to play it any louder than you would a single 10. AND ... you can be confindent that you always have enough headroom to impress most anyone

10W3 will be great for what you want, with the Zenclosure box, you are good to go, go for the 10W6 if you want a deeper bass. I have 2 x 10W6 and I can tell you that is way more than enough, I'm actually thinking to replace them for a single one.
good luck

Im not jumpin on the JL bandwagon, I dont think you get your money's worth with the JL products, there are other manufacturers that sell products that give you more bang for your buck. Just my two cents, (and dont bother arguing with me about how JL rulez! I've installed many brands of audio gear and thats my observation, take it or leave it)
Anyhow back on topic....
I think you should decide where you are comfortable giving up the space, once you decide where you can put it, then decide what sub will work well in the space you have.
