Default New Head Unit?

Okay, this is what i'm after, hopefully you guys will have some suggestions.

I want something that looks clean when installed with no blank spaces around the area. This means either a double din sized head unit, or 2 heads together (maybe a monitor and dvd player or something).

I also have the factory nav, so replacing that screen is not an option.

So, now that i have limited the selection, what do you guys recommend? Remember, clean is the look i'm going for.

There is a real nice sony dd head unit from japan. Search the forums and you will find it. I can't remember the model number.

Alot of Z peeps are using Alpines. You can use any head as long as you use the metra install kit for the 350z. The metra kit will allow you to install 2 din sized units, single din with a storage pocket, or a double din head unit. If you do upgrade your head unit, be sure that the new model has muting capability so thta you can properly interface it to your existing nav voice control.

Here are some personal threads that tell you what you need to do to get the nav voice output and muting control on a new head unit to work just like the factory system:

...and another different approach:

I hope that this info helps you out...
