Default V1 Remote install

I think I came up with a good spot for the remote display so I thought I'd share it. Here's a couple of pics.

just my opinion....but i don't think it flows with the car. i like how people put the actualy radar detector by the hatch instead of on the windshield. i've always hated things in my line of vision. and i liked the thread that had the pictures of the disply on the bottom of the dash...hid it well.

but, i'm not trying to offend you...just wanted to give my $0.02

No prob. I couldn't see the remote unit on the bottom of the dash without moving my head. Also I can, with the flick of my finger, mute the detector. I'm thinking I will put the main unit on the other side of the mirror. I'm not so thrilled about the unit being on the hatch.

Now that is sweet. My only fear is cutting up the car. But that is one of the best places i have seen.

That piece of plastic is pretty cheap and easy to remove. So I figured if i screwed up, no big deal, but a new one.

djkern - I don't have any other pics at this time, but this weekend i anticipate pulling the console out to to make adjustments to my mod console (formerly nav console). I'll snap some pics then. All i did was measure out the remote display, use a level and some rulers to make the markings on the back of the panel. i used a dremel tool to make the cuts. i used silicone to adhere the display to the panel. I used an exacto blade and some trim tape to make the framing (which i have since changed to a grey that matches the interior perfectly) and reassembled. All said and done it took about an hour, and i let the silicone dry overnight.
