Default Upgrading system, think this will be good???

Well, I decided to upgrade the audio system on the tree-fity.

Kenwood DDX-6019 6.95" Wide Double-DIN Indash Monitor DVD/WMA/MP3 Receiver

Kenwood eXcelon KAC-X812D 1600 watt mono amplifier

Kenwood eXcelon KAC-X542 960 watt 4/3/2 channel amplifier

JL Audio VR650-CXi 6.5" Coaxail speakers (Pair - Rear)

JL Audio VR650-CSi 6.5" Componet speakers (Pair - Front)

JL Audio 10w6v2 Subwoofers (Pair)

ZEnclosure subwoofer box w/ amplifier rack

Wicked C.A.S. replacement door pods

I still need to purchase the wiring and a capacitor.

These are not pics of the car, just of the products. Once I get home, I will take tons of pics and post them of the install.

I know I could have spent some more on go fast stuff, but I wanted to even out the performance with some asthetics that will make it fun to drive in also. For just over $2100, I think it is going to be a worth while upgrade.

What do you all think???

Monitor was like $689 + Shipping off of eBay (new). was going to get a refurbished DDX-7015, but this was only like $75 more for a new one.

They do pretty much, the ddx-7015 was last years model and it looks a little different. The 7015 is 6.5" and the 6019 is 6.95" also.

Also, can someone help me with the capacitor thing? What size should I use, how many, ect??? I know some about car audio, but never used Capacitors, but know I will need them for this setup. Also anyonw know where to get a good wiring kit or all the stuff to make one?

I would pick this bad boy up. I have an older Lanzar 3 Farad Cap and I'm pushing a PPI PCX-1500 (1000x1 mono) and a PPI PCX-480 (80x4) amps in my car and it rocks hard, no dimming of the lights or hard on the alternator or battery. This is a 5 Farad cap and half the price of what I paid for the 3 farad cap.

my opinion is everytime u go over 1,000 watts runing on 4 ohms you should get atleast 1 ferred capacitor. and 1 more fered per 1k watts there after. It will sux if ur lights dim and stuff start flickering on that heavy bass pushes.

+ for evey cap you get it will let you run your system like 20min while the car is off without draining ur bateries.
