was looking to get myself a system and wanting to spend around 700 on it. i figured 1 10 or 1 12 with a zenclosure box cuz 2 10s would run me up a bit too much since 2 speakers and amp would have to pump out more and i was thinking that a 12 would do just a well as 2 10s but im not sure so thats why i reachin out to for opinions figured i want jl audio stuff if you think its possible on that budget. lemme know what u guys think and thx in advance. oh and i listen to a little bit of everything as far as music goes. and as for the hu i have the non bose system and i dont really WANT to upgrade cuz i wanna keep the system as stock looking as possible but dont want the stealth box either and ive got real dark tints so i can hide the gear in the back but if you audio gurus feel its necessary to upgrade it let me know also.

I have a 10 inch Zenclosure with one JL Audio 10W6v2. Which pumps out plenty of clean bass. The amp that goes well with this sub would be the JL Audio 500/1. You can get this setup for the price you are willing to spend. The amp you can get used for $250-$350. Subwoofer would be around $200-$240. Add the Zenclosure is about $150.

so im narrowing down to getting 1 10" with the jl 500/1 and zenclosure but as far as the speaker not sure if its worth coughing up the extra 140 or so for the w7. considering the cubic ft of the box and all what would be my best bet between w6v2 or w7. if youve heard both with this setup would greatly appreciate some feedback on it

I have heard both. If you want insane bass go with the JL10W7. If you want decent bass I would go with the 10W6v2. It all depends on the type of music you listen to. All in all if you want people to hear you from a distance the 10W7. And you should really upgrade the headunit. It will make a world of a difference.

went to car toys and they are gonna hook me up with 2 jl 10's, custom box, and amp for 700. ofcourse i will be getting killed on installation seeing that i am a electrical idiot....
