Default LF people with hardcore systems and what they run

Sorry but I know ill get flamed soon.

I need to figure out some setup ideas in my Z. Im going to try and installing a vary over the top DB level. So im calling all you noise freaks out there to tell me about your setup.

BTW hardcore = 3,000+ watt (2k watt rms+) on 4ohm's+ setup

none of that dumb JL audio stuff. (JL audi is a vary good but you void warrenty if u go above a misly 800 rms).

Im talking triple digit decible levels ppl.

I need a new setup IDEA and GETING tierd of looking at peoples little setups. I understand that would u got is what works for you and that is not what im looking for. Im not trying to be mean Im just trying to find others like me that are almost deff.

My last setup was 2.4K watt on 4x 12 pushing 400watt rms a piece reaching 102 DB+

are there other like me?

Since all you are taking is wattage you probably havent learned enough about high end audio yet to know what you really want.

(Dont take that as a negative).

My Advice is to go to carsound.com and try their DB Competiton forums out for your answers.

Most factory car systems (if not ALL) can push 102DB.

I hit 136db Certified with a single 10 and 150w RMS running MB Quart and Alpine in the proper enclosure.

102dB is absolutely nothing.

I can reach 130+

#1 - get a new alternator
#2 - new battery
#3 - new power and ground wires for everything

What kind of subwoofers do you plan on running?
What amplifier would you like to use?

TC Sounds is your best bet for some all around "loud" bass right now. I can't think of any sub this side of ~$1000 that can touch a TC4k.

To answer your Request I did a Little Research,

You Should hit in the High 150's to Low 160s with this set up in a Hatch back, If you can keep from breaking the glass. Total Box Volume Sealed will be 3cu Feet (Should fit with no Tire) and total cone area is about 2sq Feet. I dont even want to talk about the excusion on these.

Total Power will be about 8,000 Watts RMS, so you will ned an upgraded Alternator and a 1/0 Power run to each Amp.

2 of These:
http://www.cardomain.com/item/KIC04S12X2

Build 2, 1.5 cuft SEALED enclosures as far back in the Hatch as possible made of 2 Layers of 3/4" MDF with Steel Cross Bracing.

Buy 4 Of These;

http://www.cardomain.com/item/JBLBPX22001

One for Each Voice Coil.

So about $7,800 for Speakers and Amps, About $300 to build the enclosures and about $700 in Wiring and alternator. You will also want a good external HU (You wont want to sit in the car while playing it) and EQ So Lets say for about $11K Total.

I beg to differ. The Hatchback effect is well known to bump up SLP Numbers. The Z should be quite a loud vehicle with any system. 150DB is attainable with 2- 12" subs, Square or Round. I've seen it many times. (I Used to judge USACi events, including SPL, although I am an SQ world Champ.)

I have seen 170+ DB with nothing but 5.25"s in it. (granted there were over 100.. )

If he does it right, has the right enclosure and finds the sweet spot for the mic he should be good to go. (And Deaf).

Sorry for the hijack...we are trouble shooting a dead battery issue so I'm curious.

+1 Too many people these days are using pooploads of wattage and horrible system design.

Your power and ground wires are the most important part of your system, Grounding Especially.

A bad/corroded or insufficent ground can cause everything from component failure right on through to a fire.

What battery problem are you having? PM Me.
