If you've noticed, our cars don't have an RPM and Vehicle speed signal running to/from the ECU. It kinda makes it impossible to install a Defi-Link VSD Concept or an Apexi SAFCII. Looking at the Apexi SAFCII's installation manual you'll see that they've asked you to tap pin 62, ignition coil 1 signal. Maybe i'm doing it wrong or something, but it DOESN'T work.

Anyway, my main aim here is to install a Defi-Link VSD Concept. I managed to tap the Vehicle speed from the 'combination meters' (Nissan Lingo) which is the Speedo and it worked fine, but the RPM here gets really really tricky.

So i've tried locating the RPM signal from the 'combination meters' but no luck there. Any help here would be fantastic.

So I did a little homework on the net and apparently Greddy has a little gadget called GReddy e-manage RPM Signal Extraction Adapter #1 which is design for extracting RPM signals from CAN buss vehicles (Nissan 350Z). Following the installation manuals, i wired the device.. and to my horror, my car refused to start. So any help here would be really really appreciated.
