I'm curious as of why the old and new box looks like they are almost the same size? Also the new box..are the ports being blocked?

Hitting 150 db's with 2 10"s will not be possible unless I get the 5000watt amp. 2500rms??? Where did you get that number? At 1ohm its 600rms per sub! 143db with only 600rms per sub is pretty damn good...
My mistake, I'm not even sure where I got the 2500 number myself. I think I just pulled it out of my butt. But yeah 143 is good for 1200wrms.

If you read the bottom the box is larger since it's ported. The thing covering the ports is that speaker fabric like you see on home theater speakers.

Your ports are right up against the plastic of the strut bar? What is the purpose of that?

No, If you want I'll take a pic so you can see, but they clear the strut bar. I could stick my hand in the whole when I pull the fabric away.

2- 10" Dual 4-Ohm HCCA Sub woofers
1- Orion HCCA-D2400 Class D monoblock Amplifier
4 gauge wiring
FatMat Sound deadening (AMAZING STUFF)

I have won first place in my class 3 times (2 at USACI shows -United States Auto sound Competition International) , and 2nd place once at some random car show. The system is underpowered right now with that amp, I need the Orion 5000 watt amp to really achieve some good numbers. It hits 143 decibels as it sits. Components weren't done because the competitions only measure bass, and since I don't keep the subs in the car (they weigh about 50lbs a piece lol) I never really needed them.

not bad 143 with 2 each 10" and 2500 rms

i can see many ways to raise your score

i am achieving 148 on the TL all sealed up legal , 158 on the audio control with the mic at the kick

1 each 15" & about 3k

If ive ever posted my setup here. Its nothing fancy, just wanted something that sounded good and wasnt really interested in volume.

DEH-P860MP HU+painted my own console.

This headunit is pretty fantastic for SQ purposes, has killer preamp voltages and is relatively inexpensive. Some have told me to get a double din for looks, but I really cant find any that I trust to give me as good of quality. If you know of any let me know. I dont need navi or any of that other crap. a plain jane nice sounding double din HU is hard to find.

CDT audio carbon fiber woofers with pods (these sound a-mazing btw)

Amp rack and rear fill (which are basically for looks only, they are turned off pretty much.) Ive been told to clean up my amp rack, which I plan on building a cover/frame to hide the wires for it one day.

Single W6 in a tuned ported box with a ton of airspace, sounds awesome, cant even tell where the bass is coming from. transparent as hell.

Everything Ive done, I did myself, so its not perfect I know. But I have it sounding pretty much exactly how I want it now, if I do anything else, it will be purely cosmetic. The amp rack needs some help I know.

Thanks buddy. Instead of buying a whole new double din HU, I may end up simply switching out the current dash kit to a new single din kit that looks a touch better. The one I have looks a tad rough.

Heres mine....A little different than your norm!
(2) 12in Rockford T1 PORTED
AMP-15001Bd
600 4ch
At the moment a few panels are wrapped with the gradiant Bride Fabric, I might change it to the all Black Bride fabric....the gradiant IMO clashes with the Laguna Seca Blue...Not sure yet. On to the pics

My vote is keep it. Looks amazing.

How is your system sq wise? I would love to listen to a sq oriented system built by someone who knows what they are doing. Just so I could have a comparison.

Dude I think it looks sick as is. Don't change a thing.

Thanks bro.....right now the car slams, everything is up to spec....Bass hits hard!!!
I am still running Bose Mids and Highs, because I am trying to scrape up the funds to get my door panels done.....Looking at having the Bose speakers replaced with CDT's, might go with 2 two ways and coaxles or a 3 way and coaxles, not sure yet.
