The Braille battery seems an interesting choice.

Are there anything out to make the cable reach? I got the yellow top and the terminals are on the wrong side (they are closer to the firewall) with my set up they will not reach.

You bought the wrong battery. Take it back and get the battery with the correct posts.

thats what I thought but the ports are right and one the right sides (left - right +) but I need them on the top closest to the front of the car not the fierwall where they are now. My cables will not reach and I cant make them longer

They actually make batteries (I don't know if its red or yellow) with the terminals on the front ... so it is truly a drop in replacement.

Sorry I don't know the number .. but maybe a search fo ptima's site would reveal the right one.

Optima actually mounts the post in the middle that way you can flip it around.

check out the latest Consumer Reports, they rated various manufacturer's automotive replacement batteries. I think Autozone got really good review.
