Better Battery?

Use the larger adapter plate the red top comes with. It will fit fine. I just put mine in yesterday. It was pretty tight in there as well. Smashed my hand real nice against the firewall trying to get that stupid metal hook in the hole against the firewall. But, it did get in there eventually, I also released the fuse box to allow for a little more work room. You will have to take the plastic ring around the battery box out. I got the red top 35. Good luck..

If you guys want Optima style batteries that will kick *** in high output applications check out Hawker Odyssey batteries here.....
http://www.odysseyfactory.com/
Stinger and a lot of other big A/V suppliers use Hawker batteries for their high end competition batteries but......... they re-badge them with their name and brand!
Hawker deep cycle batteries are extensively used by the U.S. military for there hi tech vechicles!
Don't buy Optima blue or yellow top as this is all gimmic with the round windings. I had 2 blue tops and they died a premature death with my 2400watt A/V system. I researched this subject extensively!
Hawker Odyssey batteries are flawless and I've been using them for 2 years on my 300ZX SQ competition sound system without a gilch!
They are the best and they are less expensive as a Hawker battery!
Stinger upcharges 100% when they re-badge the Hawker Odyssey!
Don't be stupid! Check it out!!!! You'll thank me later!

I went through so many Optimas because I have a very small drain (probably from the CarPC) even when the car is off and my Z sits for weeks and weeks at a time in an unheated garage during the winter.. Optimas are supposed to recover aka deep cycle.. but my experience.. and my friends experience with Optimas have been similar.. they are not recovering as advertised..
