I've read a lot of posts about having it both ways. Some say you only need clean powerful fronts, and some say that you need both front and rear for full stage sound. I personally think (2) kick *** speakers in the front and (2) regular speakers in back is the way to go. At least this is what I'm planning on doing.
What would be a good amp to match up with the MB Quarts that will take a hi-level input (from the Bose front speaker out)? I would prefer to buy a quality amp with the converter built in that could power all (4) speakers (front and rear). Having the converter built into the amp should hopefully keep the noise (line) to a minimum .
