Lightbulb New Kenwood Excelon KVT-915 DVD

I have been doing a little research for a new head unit. I was first looking at the Kenwood KVT 911DVD, but then heard a newer model (KVT 915DVD) was coming out at the end of April. I was wondering if anyone has the 911DVD and how they like it? Did you replace the speakers or just the head unit? How does it sound? I am think of keeping the Bose speakers in. Also these receivers come with a hideaway unit (Where did you hide them in the 350Z?). I have been looking on the Web for information about the 915DVD, but have not seen much about it. Any Suggestions?
Thanks,

Don't plan on seeing this unit before June or July. Kenwood is still producing the older version, the KT911DVD until the new one is available.

I have a Clarion VRX935VD, which has similar features to the Kenwood unit. I put the hide away part of the unit under the drivers seat. There is plenty of room there.

The shop i work for is a Kenwood Excelon dealer. We've been told to expect the kvt-915dvd around the end of this month to the middle of april. We've run out of 911's and i was barely able to get one from kenwood 2 weeks ago. Also be on the lookout for the new Alpine screen... the IVA-D900... should be a pretty hot head unit.

Default Love it

I've had the KVT911DVD in my Z since this past December, it's part of an awesome install with great audio.

I work for Car Toys and we are an Excelon dealer the radio will be avaliable for sale mid april but in very limited supply the KVT911DV will continue to be sold for $100 cheaper retail for the next year or so. The KVT915 will offer some advantages over the KVT911. The 915 is fully motorized, has a new OSD designed by Japanese animators, plays MP3's, and has a built in 5.1 proccessor.

Have you seen what the guys at CarToys in Littleton, Colorado did for my Z? They're amazing.

I was given some very specials on all the components that went into my 350Z because of the "exposure" to the Z lovers. I also did a similiar system in my Audi S8 so the overall numbers were a one-time bargin [I also get to write it off as a marketing cost because of Sport Z Magazine].

I agreed to keep my numbers confidential and can only suggest that you look at my Parts List and look up the list prices and multiply all the numbers by 2 to get the approx total costs.

The cost to install was nearly the same as the components.
